Heart of Hospice

Serving Veterans

Heart of Hospice’s palliative and end-of-life care offers an opportunity to provide veterans a peaceful journey across life’s last years, as well as an opportunity to provide them the respect and recognition they so well deserve through dignified, quality care. Ours, then, is a final chance to continue to fulfill that noble promise first made by President Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War “to care for him who shall have borne the battle ….”

As neighbors, friends, family members, co-workers of veterans, and even veterans ourselves, we understand the proud heritage of service and sacrifice in both war and peace. We are proud of the fact that our Medical Director served as a Naval Surgeon and Officer. Our CFO was a combat officer in the US Army Special Forces. One of our nurses is a Gulf War Veteran.

We are currently serving patients in the Oregon Veteran’s Home in The Dalles, as well as Veterans in their home, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and care centers.
